I made this as a comic, but I thought it would be interesting to post here.


I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but I was thinking about the fighting crossovers coming recently: Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur IV, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, and to some extent, that Castlevania Wii game. It seemed like Brawl had set up a trend. Or rather, revived it. What I'm trying to say here, then, is all these characters appearing in different fighting games are Brawl rejects.
Yup.

Also, as terrifying as this sounds, I think Ivy's breasts aren't big enough.

I couldn't agree more with your statement on arena fighting games that are not wrestling or other sports related. With regard to crossovers. ^~^ but You forgot Capcom vs. Marvel from the PS1 era and I'm sure many others. ^~^ But nice pic I think I'll watch you closely. ^~^ Plus this is a shoe-in fave. ^~^

I was referring to the stream of crossovers that seemed to pop up at around the same time as Smash Bros.. While they may be fine games in their own right, none had the same expectations/hype as Brawl. I've seen countless lists of characters they wanted in the game, and some went so far as to include characters completely unrelated/from different media, like Vader here. At the time, I felt Namco was saying: "Wanted Yoda in Brawl? Well you can have him in Soul Calibur instead, would you like that?"
